Hey there,
I recently took a big interest in engines/restoration (one day want to get an older car that I can work on). I purchased a 1979 Granada inline 6 engine from someone on Craigslist that had been picked out of the car in a salvage yard. I've since completely broken the engine down, pistons and everything. Will be getting a kit to put on new gaskets, new piston rings, etc, but am not going all in for a perfect rebuild. My whole point with this engine was to learn more about how they work and to actually get this one running again if possible, just not in an actual car unless I happen to find a good match.
But I'm needing some help in figuring out how to actually get the thing running again. When I got it, it had a bunch of cut hoses and wires all over the place. I got a Chilton's manual but the learning curve seems to be pretty steep (I didn't know what a carburetor was two months ago). Anyone familiar with this engine and what needs to go where?
